Software Developer Apprentice

Toru are a digital marketing agency with over 10 years’ experience in developing web software and mobile apps for clients such as Vodafone, Nokia and Hasbro. Our team of skilled programmers and designers combine creative thinking with an analytical approach to produce top quality bespoke digital content.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career by being a key member of our team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients on all aspects of the project-lifecycle; from design and planning through to testing and deployment. The focus of the role however will be working on back end systems (content management systems, cloud infrastructure, database design etc).

Your job will be a fulfilling one, our team is hard working, fun and creative. You will also benefit from our commitment to continual professional development of all staff. This is an apprentice role so we are looking for a small amount of experience and a large amount of ability and potential. 

The job includes:
●    Programming PHP back ends  
●    Working with the AWS infrastructure that hosts out systems 
●    Designing, building and maintaining databases  
●    Building dev tools for the rest of the team  
●    Developing & maintaining legacy systems 
●    Contributing ideas to the design process  
●    Testing our apps and websites  
●    Documenting code

We are currently working remotely however you will need to be able to travel to our office in central Northampton when we are open. 

• IT qualification [Level 3] with an element of coding or an A level in Computing or Maths.
• 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
